I had a similar issue recently on my C24 - on my ten year prop inspection by
blades were found to be wrong. These were a new set of Hartzell blades
supplied 10 years ago right from Beech Factory after a nose gear failure and
prop destruction and for ten years they were 1 1/2 short on each blade and 5
KTs slower that they should have been. In my case, two AME's missed it (the
hub number was correct and of correct listing but the blades were not) and
it was missed on my initial inspection. Although I wanted to get to the
bottom of it , it was solved by the prop overhauler here in Toronto who
discovered the problem called Leavens, who traded them in for the right
blades - although used - they are 2 years newer than the ones I had and I
paid $400 for the trade - not a bad deal.....
