    MOH Cost's

    Hey all, I have about 750 hrs on my A23, so i'm not to worried about
    an OH for about another 900hrs, This is however the first Aircraft
    I've owned. Whats a ballpark figure for an MOH on a '66 A23.

    Also I noticed on this particular bird that the Mixture is VERY VERY
    EXTREAMLY sensitive. Is this just the case with this Airplane. Or do I
    need to have it looked at.

    MOH Cost's

    Tim, it depends on what is wrong with the engine to cause a rebuild. My last rebuild was in 1995 and was about $15,000. I had to buy a core engine to get the crankshaft and crankcase. There are not too many engine shops that can rebuild that engine. The TBO is 1500 hours on the engine. My logs don't show that my engine ever made that much. The TBO time is based on flying that much time in about 7 years. Most of us don't fly 200 hours a year, so if you fly less, or your overhaul is older, you might not make TBO. My last overhaul was at about 700 hours and 20 years.
