Centering cable on pax yoke broken

    Gentlemen:
Can anyone here give me some insight on a broken centering cable
attached to the pax yoke shaft? Namely cost, availability, alternate
repair suggestions? Is it even a safety of flight issue and can we
remove it until the next annual? The broken cable ends are taped and
secured so as not to touch the backside of the CB panel on fullback
    yoke.
I discovered it when I was looking for the cause of the very poor taxi
steering response. Can't even guess how long its been broken (no reason
for the IA to check under that side of the panel). Definitely noticable
on the ground when I move the yoke, now that I know to look. Don't
notice any affect in the air as the centering spring is fully relaxed
    with yoke centered.
Anyone with a parts manual handy?

Assuming that you have the "T" bar, its spring 100942S0316-50, and cable
    169-524059-3 for serials M-1035--M-1284, MA-234--MA-363, MB-249--MB480,
cable 169-524059-7 for the later models. This is assuming the attaching
clips are still there. I don't know the prices or availability, RAPID
parts should show it online. I haven't seen that particular setup
myself, so I not very knowledgable with it. The IA should be looking
under the panel period. Maybe the poor guy isn't familiar with Mice.

This is a good time to point out that the Beech Aero Club is most
