Hi everyone,

Just an update on the BAF Fly-In.
We now have 14 A/C and 18 individuals who intend to attend. (Several
are driving in as their birds are down or not purchased yet!)

As to weather? I refuse to give credence to anything the Weather
Channel has to say this far out. Suffice it to say that, as usual,
this event is freighted toward the VFR side. The usual "boilerplate"
applies: "Flight plan with judgement and realistic appraisal of your
personal capabilities."

In other words, "We'd love to see ya but don't get killed in the
process!"

Several folks have asked about lodging, there is an Econolodge just
around the corner and the Country Court (a small but adequate place)
also at hand. There are plenty of hotels/motels one exit down the
Turnpike in West Springfield and Holyoke. However it is Graduation
Weekend in our neck of the world. And we have 10 colleges in close
proximity. Quite a few are "Commencing" this week.

This also means that I have to be out on the ramp Friday night keeping
jets from squatting in our designated space. (Mt. Holyoke, Smith, and
Amherst, don't you know?) If it's a Beechjet should I let them park
there?

And Customs can be arranged. Let us know by Wednesday, latest.

More updates as the reports come in.
See ya there,
Steve Cote
