    Fual Cap

    Hi all,

Anybody have some advice on replacing the flush fuel caps on my Musketeer 23A? One has been leaking, and I am not sure what the problem is.

    Much appreciate any help/advice.

    Dean

Have you tried changing the O Rings. There is the big
one that nobody misses, but also a small one around
the shaft which is important as well.

Check out Beech Aero Club classifieds. Mike Relihan offers a O-ring kit for the fuel caps. With that and a little adjustment, it should solve the leak.

    fuel cap cover

I don't remember who told me about this, but it makes sense. You might try using a round flexible magnet (the kind you see given out as advertising) over the fuel cap to help keep water from pooling in the fuel cap...they are flat and as I understand it they blow off in the prop wash if they are left on during start-up.

    Dean,

I see you are a BAC member.

Mike Rellihan has O-ring kits for the fuel caps that he sells to BAC
members. Mike is at Sun-n-Fun now but he can probably help you when he
    returns home.
