    BAF Fly-In

Well, it is now 1PM at Barnes/Westfield and the clouds are closing in again.

We, perhaps wisely, did not have any takers for the day. Therefore I am
heading home (that Honey Do jar is always waiting).

Sorry that my weather curse is still on. We will set up another even soon,
    promise.

I got up, checked the BDL TAF & ADDS radar, which showed 300-1200
overcast & t-storms for the event time, so I decided to do some trim
carpentry. Halfway through hanging a door... BANG! perfect weather!

42 years as a New England resident, and I still am amazed how fast
    our weather can change.

    Steve,

Almost made it to your fly-in. Too much fog on the highway to the airport. Hills too big and clouds too low between you and me.

Send me a frozen hamburger via overnight. I'll cook it and eat it in your memory. Throw in some chips... and ketchup... beverage...

Next time, first, sacrifice a virgin to the weather gods. (Trouble is you can't find any... weather gods these days).

Yeah, nor virgins. You know, one thing about aviation that has always griped me...you go down to the shore or a big lake and there are all these nubile young women in bikinis. And they are hot to be seen out on a boat...even with a fat old man.

Why don't we have girls hanging around airports who want to go flying...with fat old men???
