FINALLY... N9230S is out of the shop. Since Jan4th when it went in for
annual, we've been grounded for some structural corrosion problems. But
it's all fixed now and looks and flys great. Some other good news. My
partner and I were strongly leaning to selling our bird and buying an Arrow
(for sale on our field) but last night we decided to keep 30S since it has
the GPS and all that room.
I would have gone to the West VA flyin but I'm signed up for a Performance
Driving school at Carolinal Motorsports Park in Kershaw SC that weekend.
Taking my other hot-rod (Mustang GT) out on the track for 2 days with an
instructor to get the most I can out of that nag.
SO.. what's the plan for a BIRTHDAY BASH ??? I'm game to set something
up at my Hangar here at 8A6 in Charlotte. Got some BBQ to cook and we could
get a cake and just have alot of bull! Give some of you BIG AIRPORT pilots a
chance to fly into a really GRASS ROOTS airport !! 2800 ft runway 40 ft
wide. Don't feel bad, we get ALOT of pilots who do one or 2 go arounds
before they get down if they are not familar with small airports. AIRNAV.COM
has all the details and check out the news at
Anyone interested in coming to CHARLOTTE for the 4th( or 2nd or 3rd) ?
