Good Friday Morning to you.

Tomorrow is the Bessemer AL fly-in at EKY for lunch.

I've been scanning the skies, consulting the NWS, NOAA, DUATS, Total Action
News Watch Plus Weather Radar and Storm Center 13's "VIPIR" radar for clues
about the forecast showers tomorrow.

Every new forecast changes the possibility of showers and even the timing
of them. Most current data says "AM Showers". Last night is was
"Scattered Showers" all day and possibly into Sunday.

Here is the exact wording of the forecast for Saturday:

"A shower or two possible early with partly cloudy skies in the afternoon.
Cooler. High around 50F. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40%."

I plan to be there about 11 AM, and barring some really nasty Wx, which is
not forecast, I think we should say this fly-in lunch is a "GO".

As always, the PIC is responsible for the safety of the flight, and you
should do proper flight planning and Wx checks in the AM for the latest
guesses by the Weather Wizards. Temps should be nice (no freezing issues).

Our ranks have swelled after the announcement on Musketeer Mail last
Monday. Looks like we have 13 planes, even after a few had to cancel for
personal conflicts. And several have said they are bringing at least one
passenger, so we have a good chance to top 20 attendees. There are even a
couple of locals that will be DRIVING in (me included).

Still bending the ear of the FBO management about a fuel discount. However
$3.95 isn't a bad price after the thumping we took last summer at $6 and
even $7 a gallon (hello Signature @ PDK).

The restaurant management is excited to have its first Type Club group
fly-in, and are ready for us.
