    MORA

I feel like an idiot, but I can't figure out what MORA stands for. I'm
using the AOPA Real Time flight planner, and it show MEA/(MORA). I got
MEA - minimum enroute altitude, but can't figure out MORA. It's not in
the FAR/AIM or in the online help.

    Thanks,
    Phil

    MORA

Actually, it IS minimum off-route altitude

The AOPA flight planner's NavLog reveals the minimum en route altitude
(MEA) and minimum off-route altitude (MORA) to help you safely navigate
    via airway and direct routing.

The acronym MORA stands for minimum off-route altitude. It's a Jeppesen
term, found only on Jeppesen charts and defined in the company's chart
glossary as "An altitude derived by Jeppesen...[that] provides known
obstruction clearance within 10 nm of the route centerline."

I believe this is a mistype. It should read MOCA for minimum obstacle
clearance altitude. Usually MEA's and MOCA's are paired on LE charts.
