To me, the best reason to get the extra engine would be to have an
extra of the 3 main unbotainium parts - Crankcase, crankshaft,
camshaft. If it were me, I'd hang the "new" engine and pickle the
parts on your existing engine. Then I'd go flying secure in the
knowledge that I have enough spare engine parts to outlive either me
or my interest in flying.
