I now have 15 hours on my 150 to 160 hp overhaul/upgrade and thought I
would pass on my experience.

I have an O-320-E2C in my '68 Sport. I purchased the Lycon STC
SE00252SE for $250.00. I used Kline Aviation for the overhaul and
bought four new ECI Titan cylinders. The overhaul with new cylinders
was 10k. Removal, shipping, reinstallation, flush the oil cooler,
rebuilt vacuum pump, all new hoses, and an annual was 7k.

I initially had problems with the FAA concerning reinstallation of the
modified engine into the airframe however that problem was solved when
my local FAA guy started talking to other FAA guys and found out this
has been done. I have the paperwork and would like to add it to the
group if anyone needs it. My paperwork is pretty much the same but
the dates are more current which may help.

Otherwise, everthing has gone without a hitch. The test flight went
fine. The extra hp is very obvious on climb out. I haven't noticed
any significant change in cruise speed. Oil analysis at 10 hours was
fine. It hardly burns any oil.

Overall, I'm very happy with the airplane. The hp upgrade was *well*
worth $250. Kline Aviation and my local FBO (Fournet's/LFT) also did
a fine job. Thanks to all here that helped - Robert Lewis, Jeff
Bryant, and Bob Steward. I know Cloyd had a fly in last Saturday but
my family and I were headed to the beach in Gulf Shores..... wished I
could have attended. The beach is still there! Flyin sure beats driving.
