Wile the OKB VORA approach is a "No Brainer" it can be challenging.
The approach starts at 2500 MSL and the MDA is 1140. You get 3.4NM
to descend from the VOR to the MDA while
    1. Maintaining directional control,
    2.not busting altitude (low)
    3. Talking to the traffic
    4. Getting set up for the missed approach (sharp left turn to 030 to
intercept the 083 radial from the VOR. This also happens very
    quickly.)
    5. looking for the airport. (this isn't easy as you're NOT
approaching the airport in line with the runway. It isn't easy to
spot if you don't know the local landmarks.)

This approach has cost some IFR students their checkride. (Not
    mine, I passed).

But OKB is a nice little summer getaway. There's a few good beaches
    within a short bike ride.

I used to fly into Oceanside Municipal for the monthly ham radio swap meet
in the Swan parking lot. That was in 1975 and 1976 before Swan was absorbed
into its parent company, Cubic Corporation, and moved to San Diego. I flew
up from Gillespie field with a couple ham buddies and split the $12 per
hour cost for the Cherokee 140, or $14 per hour for the 180. I don't recall
any noise abatement issues at the time, but it sounds like sanity prevails
again. I am thinking about getting some folding bicycles, and the bike
trail sounds like a good route to the restaurants on the water. It would
make a good $100 breakfast run for people on the west coast.
