    BAC Annual Convention in 2006

We are starting to make plans for the 2006 BAC Annual Convention for next year.

Preliminary plans are for it to be held in August of next year probably in Wichita, KS.

Activities MAY include a tour of the Beech factory and possibly the site in Liberal where our Mice were born.

I'm curious to know how many folks might attend and how long they thing they might stay.

    BAC Annual Convention in 2006

    Cloyd,

August is a difficult month for many of us. Summer plans generally do not allow for another week's free time. I think having the National in 2006 should be mid-May.

Kansas is a long way to go for those of us from the Northeast in Summer haze and heat.

We will take that under advisement.

Our man in Kansas says that Kansas in mid-May could be like Dayton in mid-May.

You know there is a reason why people migrate from north to south and not the other way around, it's the lousy weather up there.

We have four seasons down here too: crawfish, shrimp, crabs and oysters.

Yeah, you catch the crabs after eating too many oysters in strange bordellos along Bourbon Street.

School being in session is another consideration. Schools around here don't get out until the end of May.

Here is a link to average conditions in Wichita
    http://www.rssweather.com/climate/Kansas/Wichita/

Late April, all of May and Early June are the most likely time for severe weather.

Just another input from the north. School is out 2 June 06 and
graduation is June 4th, I teach and have next years schedule. Weather
mellows toward the end of June (15 to July 10) but then it starts to
get hot and bumpy. Why not a birthday party combination. With this
much notice people can plan some time off even trying to save time off
for Oshkosh. For the other question, I see flying in one day staying
1 or 2 days and flying out the next when weather permits, (one long
    days flight to and from.)

Count me in! I'd consider a day to fly there from SLC, perhaps a first evening gathering, then a day or two of activities and fly out the fourth day to be a good timeframe. Realizing that weather and schedules can affect everybody, a longer timeframe might give more people a greater chance of getting there and attending at least some of the program.

    But, whatever, I'll be there!
