    Throttle Cable Problems

    Just found out that my throttle cable is shot for my 1969 B23 (Serial#
    M-1176). Looking through the archives I see that Beech wants $3,000 for
    a new one!!

    David Vance says that ACS made his throttle cable, but it was installed
    before he purchased his plane, so he doesn't have the 337. Is Aircraft
    Spruce the best place to purchase this cable or is there a better
    place? Does anyone have a 337 for the ACS or other throttle cable that
    will fit my Musketeer? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    I couldn't locate a Website for ACS, does anyone know if they have one?

    ACS = Aircraft Spruce www.aircraftspruce.com

    McFarlane Aviation is also a source for many PMA approved cables.

    If you seek a field approval for the cable, be sure you don't talk about
    the $3000 price, only that Beech has none on the shelf. The FSDO is keen
    to help you get back in the air in the event of the LACK of a part, but
    they don't get sympathetic about duplicating work if the part is available
    at some high price.
