    [BAC-Mail] Touch up painting

Are you flying the same thing that I am?? I am not
aware that titantium was even invented back when my
plane was born... Now I'll agree with magnesium gear
legs, and I've even been told that some of the control
surfaces on Bo's are magnesium or something like that.
The other day, it was hot enough and we were heavy at
max (or so), I thought I might have had some control
    surfaces made out of lead.

    [BAC-Mail] Touch up painting

There are detailed instructions in the shop manual for priming magnesium. Frankly, I have had no problems with the two-part epoxy primers on magnesium; no subsurface corrosion on later examination. It is far easier to use than the traditional solutions. A BAC search for touch-up painting provides a lot of info on the subject.

    Hi Cloyd -

Since the control surfaces (ailerons & Flaps) are titanium, and the gear legs are
magnesium - they GOTTA take something different than the regular chromate primer
    - right?

Maybe we'll hear something from somebody that just painted like Jeff Bryant or
    Brian Foote?
