Beechcraft Heritage Museum

I received an invitation for all BAC members to join the Beechcraft Heritage Museum from Harold Bost, president of the Bonanza/Baron Division of the Museum. For those of you not familiar with the Beechcraft Heritage Museum it was formerly known as the Staggerwing Museum and is located at Tullahoma, TN (THA). This is the site of the annual Beech Party which usually takes place in October.

The museum was offered a Musketeer by Robert Clark of Miami, TX and Mr Bost wanted to know if BAC would be interested in particpating in the museum before accepting the donation. I told him I thought BAC would like to participate and be represented.

Initially he will be looking for help putting the wings back on the Mouse and getting it ready for display. That sounds like a good excuse for a fly-in and a visit to the museum.

I also learned that this year Beech Party will be Beech Birthday Party celebrating the 75th birthday of Beechcraft and the 60th birthday of the Bonanza. The dates this year are october 10 to 14 which puts it the weekend before BAC Fest. Might be a good stopover enroute if you have the time.

Nothing definite is planned yet for the Mouse but I’ll keep everyone informed and maybe we’ll have a Mouse winging party sometime soon.

Thank you for adding to the resources available for your Fellow BAC Members.
