Coming home from work last night on a B777 KeroCooker and pulled up the flight stats on the IPad thingy in the headrest in front of me. We were traveling due west from AKL to MEL at 36,000′ and the numbers were as follows;

GS; 398 Kts
Headwind component; 316Kph
I had to do a double take on the screen!
